Cancellation and Refunds

Overview

AllAccessible has no long-term contracts and no cancellation fees. This guide explains how to cancel a paid plan, what happens to your site and widget afterward, what the refund policy is, and how to come back if you change your mind.

Who This Is For

  • Customers considering canceling a paid plan

  • Anyone wanting to understand the refund policy

  • Users who canceled and want to reactivate

What You'll Learn

  • How to cancel your subscription

  • When cancellation takes effect

  • What happens to your widget, dashboard, and data

  • The refund policy

  • How to reactivate

  • Alternatives to canceling

Before You Cancel

Canceling moves your site to the Free plan. If cost is the concern, one of these may fit better:

1. Remove add-ons you are not using

Keep the Starter plan and drop individual add-ons.

How: Dashboard → Sites → [Your Site] → Add-Ons → remove the add-on. The add-on stops renewing; fees already paid for the current period are not refunded.

2. Stay on the Free plan

The Free plan is what your site lands on after you cancel. It keeps the full widget running at no cost (see "What Happens After Cancellation" below). You do not need to do anything extra to get it.

3. Partner pricing for multiple sites

If you manage 10 or more active sites, partner discounts apply automatically to your organization:

  • 10–15 sites: 10% off

  • 16–20 sites: 20% off

  • 21–30 sites: 25% off

  • 31+ sites: 30% off

How: Contact [email protected] about the Partner Program.

4. Non-profit pricing

Registered non-profits can apply for a 50% discount at allaccessible.org/nonprofit-discount.

Is there a pause option? No. There is no pause or "temporary suspension." Canceling moves your site to the Free plan, and you can reactivate a paid plan whenever you are ready.

How to Cancel Your Subscription

Cancellation Process

Step 1: Open the billing portal

  1. Log in to your AllAccessible dashboard at app.allaccessible.org

  2. Go to Billing

  3. Click Manage billing

  4. The billing portal opens

Step 2: Cancel the subscription

  1. Find the subscription for the site you want to cancel (each site has its own subscription)

  2. Click Cancel subscription

  3. Confirm

Step 3: Confirmation

You receive a confirmation email. In your dashboard the site shows a "Subscription Canceled" notice with a Resubscribe button.

When Cancellation Takes Effect

Cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period you have already paid for. There is no "cancel immediately" option.

  • You keep every paid feature until the end of the current period

  • You are not charged again after that date

  • The subscription does not renew

What Happens After Cancellation

At the end of the paid period, your site moves to the Free plan. Nothing is shut off.

Your widget keeps working. The accessibility widget stays live on your website with Free plan features:

  • All widget features (text, contrast, reading and navigation tools)

  • Up to 1,000 pageviews per month

  • A preview of AllAccessible AI: the first 10 image alt texts and first 5 suggested fixes on the site

  • One accessibility scan per month

Your dashboard access continues. You can still log in, see your site, and manage settings. Paid-only features (unlimited agentic AI remediation, unlimited alt text, monthly monitoring, text-to-speech, add-ons) are no longer available until you reactivate.

Your account and data stay. Your site, widget settings, team, and history remain in your account. If you ever want your account deleted rather than kept on the Free plan, contact [email protected].

Removing the widget entirely is a separate step. Canceling does not remove the widget from your website. If you want it gone, remove the install code (or deactivate the plugin). See Removing or Uninstalling AllAccessible.

Refund Policy

Paid subscription fees are non-refundable, except:

  • Where required by law. Refund rights vary by jurisdiction based on local consumer protection laws.

  • If we end your subscription for convenience. If AllAccessible terminates your subscription for convenience (not for cause), prepaid fees for the unused part of your current period are refunded pro-rata.

Beyond that, refund requests may be considered case by case, at AllAccessible's sole discretion. Submitting a request is not a promise of a refund.

What this means when you cancel

  • No refund for the current billing period

  • You keep full access until the period ends

  • No further charges after that

Billing errors

If you were charged the wrong amount, charged twice, or charged after your subscription ended, email [email protected] with your account email and the invoice number. We will correct billing mistakes.

How to Request a Refund Consideration

Email [email protected] with:

  • Subject: "Refund Request – [your account email]"

  • Your account email and the site involved

  • The invoice date and amount

  • Why you are requesting a refund

We will review the request and reply by email with the decision.

Reactivating Your Subscription

Your site stays in your account on the Free plan, so reactivating is quick.

From the dashboard

  1. Open your site, or go to Billing

  2. Click Resubscribe / Upgrade

  3. Complete checkout for the Starter plan

From our email
After you cancel we may email you a reactivation link. It opens a page with two choices: Reactivate (Starter plan, $10/month) or Stay free. Nothing is charged until you confirm at checkout.

What is restored: the site, widget settings, and history were never removed, so paid features simply switch back on once payment completes. Add-ons you had before are not re-added automatically; add them again from Dashboard → Sites → [Your Site] → Add-Ons.

Canceling Multiple Sites

Each site has its own subscription. To cancel more than one:

  • Cancel each subscription in the billing portal (Billing → Manage billing), or

  • Email [email protected] with the list of sites and we will process them together

Moving a site to another account (for example, handing a site back to a client): contact [email protected].

Common Questions

Q: Is there a cancellation fee?
A: No.

Q: Can I cancel anytime?
A: Yes. The cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for.

Q: Will my widget stop working?
A: No. Your site moves to the Free plan and the widget keeps running with Free features. It only stops if you remove the install code or deactivate the plugin.

Q: Will I lose dashboard access?
A: No. You can still log in and manage your site on the Free plan.

Q: Can I get a refund if I cancel mid-period?
A: No. You keep access for the time you paid for. Refunds are considered case by case at our discretion, except where the law or our Terms require one.

Q: Can I pause instead of canceling?
A: There is no pause option. Cancel, stay on the Free plan, and reactivate when you are ready.

Q: What happens if a payment fails?
A: Your dashboard shows a "Payment Past Due" notice. Update your card in Billing → Manage billing to keep paid features running.

Q: What happens to my team members' access?
A: Your account and team stay in place. The site is on the Free plan, so paid features are unavailable to everyone on it until you reactivate.

Q: Can I transfer my subscription to someone else?
A: Contact [email protected] to move a site to another account.
